Lemons have vitamin c, ginger helps to prevent cold and flu, aids in digestion and honey has antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties which makes this drink a refreshing and hydrating one.
Drink this early in the morning, in the afternoon or drink all through the day. The liver collects toxins through out the day, this drink helps to flush it all out.
Ingredients:
- 1 to 2 inches fresh ginger, like a thumb size
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 lemon
- 2 teaspoons raw honey
Grate or chop the ginger into tiny pieces, add to the 2 cups of water. Allow the water to steep for at least 15 minutes or even longer or even leave in the fridge overnight if you wish. Strain the ginger out of the water when you’re ready to drink it, add the lemon juice and raw honey just before drinking.
